If you are interested in joining any of these committees, contact the committee chairs at the email addresses or phone provided. Please check the Events and Meetings Calendar for Committee meeting dates and locations.

Family Selection Bryanne Baker
The committee organizes and carries out recruitment, application, assessment, and selection processes. We select the families who fit the criteria of ability to pay, need for housing, and willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County.
 
Finance Dave Jarrett
This committee manages and oversees Habitat's donations and how we use our funds.
 
ReStore Dan Tychonievich
This committee oversees the vision and business plan for our ReStores.
 
Matthew 25 Church House Linda Riley
The committee includes members of local churches of varying denominations to organize the annual Matthew 25 Church House.
 
Women Build Babette Zielinski
Women Build brings together all women to build a home each summer. They meet monthly in preparation for the build!
 
Thrivent Lutheran House Dana Bright
The committee works algonside the Habitat Affiliate Project Leader to organize, fundraise, and recruit volunteers for the Thrivent Lutheran Build.
 
Developing Committees
We are in the process of creating and developing the following committees.  If you are interested in helping please contact our office at 574.288.6967 or [ email ].

Church Relations-To cultivate Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County's relationship with local churches, seek Covenant Churches, and maintain ties to currently involved churches.  
          
Family Support-Works with families through sweat equity, home ownership education, home purchase process, adjustment to new responsibilities and continued partnership with the organization. The committee is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating this aspect of the program.    

Fund Raising-To raise sufficient money as determined by the Board of Directors to fund the needs of the organization in order that simple, decent housing can be built with Partner Families.  

Legal-To provide a liaison with Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County's attorney and monitor the legal needs and requirements of the organization, including insurances.

Office Support-This group staffs the office, which provides coordination and support for the organization.

Public Relations-Mission: To continually improve the community's awareness of our work, recognize our participants, and encourage new donations of time and materials so more people have simple, affordable housing.

Site Selection-Identify potential sites, evaluate sites' availability and appropriateness, evaluate sites suitability for affiliate's basic house plans, develop a site acquisitions criteria policy for board approval, implement the board-approved site acquisition policy and maintain acquired sites.

Volunteer-Recruits, interviews, trains and coordinates volunteers to carry out Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County's mission in St. Joseph County.

Building-To coordinate labor, plans, materials and family interests to build the finished product, "a simple, decent house in a decent community for God's people in need."
