Vision with action can transform the world. This belief informs our planning for the future and is at the heart of every build. Since our inception in 1987, Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County has built homes with 128 families. Homeowners tell us their lives are transformed the moment they join with us in taking their first steps toward homeownership. Donors and sponsors tell us their lives are transformed as they see the impact of their giving—simple, beautiful homes that provide hard-working, low-income families with the dignity and prideof homeownership. Volunteers tell us their lives are transformed as they see the tangible results of their work -not just a house, but a home.
The need for simple, decent, affordable homes with lasting value in St. Joseph County is great. There are a critical number of homes in disrepair, lots vacant and families in need in our county. Your partner-ship signifies both the desire and willingness to engage this problem seriously and continue the task of eliminating substandard housing.
