We have an urgent need for land on which to build our homes.
Do you: own vacant property that you would be willing to donate or sell to Habitat at a discounted rate?
wish to create a legacy by adding Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County to your will for bequest of property?
own a home or rental property that could use some work? Habitat considers donations of houses that need rehab work.
We accept donated land, and we will sometimes purchase land at fair market value. We do not purchase property in the flood plain, and we do not mediate heirship issues.
Land donations to Habitat can often be counted as charitable donations on your tax return. Consult your tax professional regarding the tax deduction a land donation might give you.
